Learn How To Setup Free Conference Call | Free Conference Calling

| May 11, 2011

Today we are going to tell you how to make a free conference call from your own cell phone. Basically there is bit of doubt on the point of a free conference call instead, if you are calling from your cell phone, it is going to eat up your free minutes provided by your carrier network.

But yes technically we can say that you do make a free conference call. Some carrier network experts are of the fact that if you do make a conference call after the peak hours, which is after 6.00 pm, 9.00 pm or whatever the time is set by your carrier provider, you are not charged for it. In other words, such conference calls are termed as off net conference calls.

So what you need to do is, you need to call one number from your cell phone, and the receiving end party should answer your call. Then on the initial phone, that is your from phone, from which you initiated the call, press the menu button or go to the menu option during the call. It is the same on any phone/handset that supports conference calling. Doing that, scroll down to the 3 way or conference call option. There may be a variation on the option title depending upon the handset you are using. Choose that option and as soon as you do that, it will put the first call on hold temporarily.

Once that is done, the handset would pop a window or give you a space to enter another number. Dial the number you are trying to reach next and select the connect/dial/send option. As soon as that part receives the call, you would be given another option of join/merge the calls. And when you do that, all three numbers including your conference calling number will be connected with each other. And thats how you set up a free conference call.
