WordPress.com is one of the largest blogging platform provider with over 13 percent of approximately 1 million largest websites used WordPress.com. As per the news break in earlier today, WordPress.com is attacked by huge DDoS (distributed denial of service attack), as a result of which many users have experienced connectivity and performance issues. DDoS cause running services to stop working. Many users have complained for slowness on WordPress.com. However, things are back to normal now and there are no more complaints regarding the slowness of WordPress.com and they’re continuously monitoring the systems for any further attack.

The size of the attack was multiple Gigabits per second and tens of millions of packets per second which causes WordPress.com scrambled to extenuate it instantly. As a matter of fact, the attack was big enough to touch on all three of the company’s datacenters in Chicago, San Antonio, and Dallas.
