Skype 3.0 is the latest update released by Skype for its iPhone app. The main addition to Skype iPhone app is the ability to video chat. Skype 3.0 for Apple iPhone comes with the video calls feature and finally the long expected feature is now available to iPhone users.

With the help of new update, you’ll be able to use Skype for video calls over Wi-Fi and 3G to any Mac or Microsoft Windows computer, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4 and 4th generation iPod touch.  Moreover, with Skype 3.0 for iPhone you are able to create a one-way video chat and just receive video calls on a few iOS devices without a camera.  These devices are 3rd generation iPod touch and the 1st generation iPad.  Just like Apple’s FaceTime feature, the video call service on Skype requires iOS 4.0 or above and can broadcast and receive video in both portrait or landscape orientations. Skype 3.0 is available as a free update on the Apple App Store.
