How to Temporarily Disable your Facebook Account
There is no better option available then to switch to Facebook when you want to connect and share with your family, friends and loved ones. Since it initially started in 2004 by two Harvard students Facebook has expanded globally.

Beside a fact that hundreds of people are joining Facebook community daily, there are many who want to put an end to their usage of Facebook. There can be any reason one would wish to do so, and if you also want to get rid of your Facebook account temporarily or permanently, you can easily do so by going through this article further. Either you can deactivate your Facebook account on temporarily basis or completely delete your account from Facebook’s internal servers.
How to Temporarily Disable your Facebook Account
You can temporarily disable your Facebook account by deactivating it from Facebook account settings. By doing so, all of your Facebook information including, your pictures, videos, status updates, notes, music, personal profile information etc will instantly be inaccessible to the rest of Facebook community, including your immediate friends. Deactivating your account will apparently makes you vanish from Facebook service, But, later on if you want to switch back to your old Facebook account, you can do so by reactivating your account and all of your profile information, pictures, videos, notes, friends list etc will be restored to its previous state.
Follow the instructions below to temporarily disable your Facebook account!
First, login to your Facebook account, click on “Account” and navigate to “Account Settings”,

Click “Settings”, and then on “Deactivate”

Now, select any appropriate reason that why you want to disable your Facebook account. Also, if your don’t want email notifications, click on Email opt out and finally click on “Deactivate My Account”

There you go, you are done with deactivating you account, and rest of the Facebook community cannot see your profile on face book anymore.

after diableing your account for a while how do you enable it?

Facebook removed the deactivation option, just recently.
They did not remove the deactivation option, they just moved it to a different part of the settings under the privacy tab I believe. I just deactivated mine (temporarily because I waste too much time on it instead of studying)
Apparently you can still search for people who deactivate their account?

you say apparentley restores it back to its original state, does it or does it not? if i deactivate it for a month, when i reactiavte it, will it be back to its ariginal state?
